Glamorizta-3 Questions

Style Talk: 3 Questions to...

With the change of season upon us, it’s hard not to get caught in fleeting trends and what you see on social media. Building a wardrobe that works for you is the secret to great style. Read on to find out what Glamorizta’s founders Ahalya and Catherine think.

What is your style philosophy?

Ahalya: Sophistication and self expression. I believe that true luxury is about embracing your authentic lifestyle and refined taste. It’s about creating moments of joy, each time you wear your luxurious pieces.

Catherine: Confidence is the greatest style rule of them all. No matter what your aesthetic from monochrome to feminine to colourful - it’s all about knowing what suits you and wearing what makes you feel good. Over the last few years I have really honed in on knowing my style. I am taking what works for me as well as my lifestyle into account. Wearing what suits me and allows me to comfortably move through my day is key to good style.

What are you most excited about style-wise for the new season to come?

Ahalya: I love the colder months as it’s a canvas for embracing rich textures and fabrics. I’m excited about classic prints, infused with a modern twist to add depth and character to ensembles. I cannot wait to wear my Gucci Jordaan loafers complete with the signature horse bit buckle and fun star embroidery this season, as it’s bold and striking, yet it gives me a sense of warmth and elegance.

Catherine: As we move into the colder months I am excited to wear boots. I like to keep the basis of my wardrobe simple. It’s the accessories where I like to focus my attention and my budget. For me, it’s a good pair of shoes that can really change my look. I love a classic shoe from Valentino. In the warmer season I gravitate more towards their easy ballet flats with Rockstud and in the cooler seasons I cannot wait to wear their boots. You can make a high-street outfit look so much more expensive with a good pair of shoes. It’s all about bringing these staples in your wardrobe up to date.

Who is your favourite designer?

Ahalya: Chloe holds a special place in my heart, as I love the understated sophistication that deeply resonates with my personal style. Chloe ensures that each piece is not only a fashion statement but also an investment in quality and longevity. I am particularly excited that the Padlock on the handbags is regaining momentum and had a moment at Paris Fashion Week. You can shop it now already at Glamorizta!

Catherine: You might have guessed it! It’s hands down Valentino! I admire their timeless elegance, craftsmanship and quality. You can feel and see the attention to detail and skill that went into making each Valentino handbag or shoe. And of course I cannot wait to retire my Valentino flats for a bit and get my Valentino boots out of storage for the cooler months!
